How to start mining Sia?

Sia is a decentralized data storage platform powered by blockchain technology. Sia connects people "hosts" that have underutilized hard drive capacity with customers "renters" in search of data storage. In essence, Sia is the Uber of data storage.

The blockchain technology delivers a competitive advantage for Sia, making it more secure and lower cost than traditional cloud storage providers. Sia has created a marketplace for data that provides higher latency, more throughput, less downtime and more security.

Luxor Mining Pool is a PPS pool that is currently running a promotion of a 2% fee. We donate a portion of these fees back to the core developers that are working on the Sia protocol.

Type in the pool setting as follows:

URL: stratum+tcp://sc.global.luxor.tech:700 

Worker: [LuxorUsername].WorkerName (Workername can be anything, but avoid using symbols or special characters as it may be an invalid username). More on user accounts here.

Password: 123

Once you’ve started hashing, grab yourself a beer! It’ll take about 5 minutes for your worker to appear on our stats page. To find your user, simply login to your user account and head to the Workers tab. You should see something like this:
