Decred is a cryptocurrency, that tries to improve on the flaws of other cryptos such as Bitcoin. Decred has a strong focus on the community input, open governance and sustainable development. To support this, Decred utilizes a hybrid of two mining systems. While Bitcoin only operates on a proof-of-work (PoW) basis, Decred builds on top of it by introducing proof-of-stake (PoS) as well.
This hybrid system means that Decred gives power to the stakeholders, further decentralizes governance, makes network attacks more difficult and enable forks to be more effective.
At Luxor we only mine coins that we believe in, that's why we set up a Decred Pool and support the community in any means possible. If you are a current miner of Decred, or want to start make sure to check out our pool.

Type in the pool setting as follows:
URL: stratum+tcp://dcr.luxor.tech:700 (set to your nearest location)
Worker: [LuxorUsername].WorkerName (Workername can be anything, but avoid using symbols or special characters as it may be an invalid username). More on user accounts here.
Password: 123
Once you’ve started hashing, grab yourself a beer! It’ll take about 5 minutes for your worker to appear on our stats page. To find your user, simply log into your account and head to the Workers tab. You should see something like this:
